NBA 2K23 New Face Scans

NBA 2K23 Updated Face Scans List

Here you will find the new face scans and hairstyles available in NBA 2K23. Last year 2K Sports did an excellent job scanning a huge number of players. Players who already had a scan in previous NBA2Ks and rookies received a face scan with the new realistic scan system.

This year it is expected that 2K will continue to scan more players who still have an outdated face scan or still have a generic face. So far, 2K has posted the NBA 2K23 MyTeam trailer and you can see some new scans for players like rookie Chet Holmgren, Patrick Beverley, Rudy Gobert, Clint Capela, Danilo Gallinari, Marcus Smart and many others as you can check out on the video below.

Other players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James still have a face scan that we have already seen years ago. So it would be really interesting if 2K gets an updated scan for players like them and others like Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, James Harden who are in the same situation.

The new technology that 2K uses is really some of the best we can find in a sports video game right now. This new technology manages to capture very high quality images, providing textures with an impeccable level of detail. As we can see in the comparison made by @jjcreatesmn from Reedit, where a great improvement in NBA 2K23 cover athlete Devin Booker's facescan is clearly noticeable.

These face scans of current players are expected to be joined by updated renders of retro players, since this year, NBA 2K23 features MyNBA Eras, a game mode that will allow the player to relive classic seasons, so there will be new classic teams with accurate rosters for each of the seasons represented in this game mode.

As more details become known, this post will be updated with all the new face scans that can be found in NBA 2K23 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
