With the departure of Hornacek, the New York Knicks were behind several coaches for next season
with the main goal of taking the services of David Fizdale, former Memphis Grizzlies.
They have signed it for four years to begin a process of
reconstruction that must face the very probable absence of Porzingis the course
that comes after falling seriously injured.
The Knicks ended the 2017-2018 season with a negative balance of 29-53, a result that prevented them from
accessing the NBA Playoffs.
