What is Slam Dunk?
Slam Dunk, which in English refers to a "basketball shot made by a player who jumps and dunks the hoop", is a manga series written and illustrated by Japanese author Takehiko Inoue.
The first chapter of this series was published in 1990 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. In total, 101 chapters were published until 1996. It is considered one of the best-selling manga series in history, thanks in part to the adaptation in the form of an anime series between 1993 and 1993 by Toei Animation.
What is the plot Slam Dunk?
Slam Dunk tells the story of Hanamichi Sakuragi, a teenager who doesn't like to study. Once Sakuragi starts high school, he falls in love with Haruko Akagi, whom he tries to impress with a basketball game but she is already in love with another basketball player, Kaede Rukawa.
