2K has released NBA 2K27 Patch 1.2, dated August 28, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. This is a quality-of-life update, not a gameplay balance patch. Visual Concepts says it is still monitoring games across modes and skill levels before touching on-court tuning.
If you expected shot contest nerfs, badge changes, or takeover adjustments, those are not in 1.2. The patch focuses on two broken features plus general stability.
What Patch 1.2 Does Not Change
Official wording is clear: no gameplay changes. That means jumpers, defense, stamina, badges, Takeover, and park/rec balance stay the same after this update.
2K is treating Early Access as a live test window before the September 4 worldwide launch.
MyTEAM: Min/Max Buyout Search Is Back
The main MyTEAM fix restores Auction House filters that players actually use.
- You can search listings by Minimum Buyout again
- You can search listings by Maximum Buyout again
That matters in a year when the Auction House is larger and more active. Without min/max buyout filters, hunting value cards turns into scrolling noise. Patch 1.2 puts the market tools back in place.
If you flip cards or build a budget squad, this is the most useful change in the update.
PC: Core Key Bindings Can Be Remapped Again
PC players can now remap controls for core actions when editing Key Bindings.
That sounds small until you play on keyboard and mouse or use a custom layout. If core actions were locked or missing from the remap menu at launch of Early Access, 1.2 restores that control.
Console players can skip this section. It is PC-only.
General: Performance and Stability
The rest of the patch is the usual launch-week cleanup:
- Performance improvements
- Stability improvements
- Better overall user experience
2K did not publish a bug-by-bug list. Expect fewer crashes, smoother menus, and backend fixes rather than visible on-court differences.
