2K has released NBA 2K27 Patch 1.3, dated August 31, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The update went live around 2:00 AM PT. Unlike Patch 1.2, this one includes actual gameplay tuning plus several high-priority bug fixes from Early Access.
2K’s developer note is direct: the team is targeting the issues hitting players the hardest right now. A much larger patch is planned before Season 2, covering the whole game. Patch 1.3 is the emergency cleanup before Standard Edition launches on September 4.
The Biggest Gameplay Change
Shot Artist and Calibrated Takeover abilities are less effective.
That is the only on-court nerf in 1.3. If your build leaned on those two Takeovers for easier makes or tighter timing, expect a smaller boost. Everyone else should notice a slightly fairer shooting gap when those abilities are active.
No other badges, contests, or stamina systems were listed.
Online and Progression Fixes
These are the changes most players will feel immediately:
- Squads stay together when you back out of matchmaking. The party-split bug is fixed.
- Crew XP and REP earn rates were retuned after community feedback.
- Fire & Concrete no longer soft-locks after a Co-Op disconnect. Existing saves can continue.
- Rare cases where City stats and progression failed to apply after a game are resolved.
- The Rec hang during games is fixed.
- Auction House no longer hangs when a Player Card has multiple Takeovers on the shoe.
If you play Rec, City, Co-Op MyCAREER, or MyTEAM, this patch is more important than 1.2.
PC-Only Improvement
The PC mod tool received a large performance increase and other improvements. Console players can ignore this line.
General Stability
As usual, 2K also shipped general stability work to improve the overall experience. No detailed crash list was published.
